SUNNYVALE, Santa Clara County — Residents who want to understand how Sunnyvale chooses future city projects can review the official results of the February 26, 2026 City Council Priority Projects Workshop.
The city publishes separate lists for proposals moving forward to budget review, proposals treated as operational matters and proposals that did not advance from the workshop. That distinction helps readers separate early ideas from potential budget commitments.
Examples of proposals that did not advance
The city’s posted list includes increased traffic enforcement near school zones, updating the General Plan and certain changes to parking-permit rules among proposals not moved forward at the workshop. This does not necessarily mean the underlying issues cannot be considered under a different city process.
What happens after the workshop?
Moving toward a budget workshop is not the same as receiving funding or a final implementation schedule. Residents should use the city’s summary reports and later council records to learn what was funded, assigned to staff or deferred. The city also offers subscriptions to project and meeting notices.
